Windows 10 Color Scheme Change

I implemented your suggested Method 2 and it completed 100% with no file updates mentioned. I'll monitor my desktop and let you know if the problem returns.

More Background Information

My desktop has 2 displays and I use a black background color and a separate image for each display. Sometimes one image is displayed on both screens and I use the following command from a reply to Dual Display Backgrounds in Windows 10 to correct this:

control /name Microsoft.Personalization /page pageWallpaper

Sync is turned ON for all my computers. My understanding (maybe incorrect) is Sync keeps its information stored on my OneDrive but I see no files there regarding this. Should there be a separate file for each computer being syncd?

I have sync turned on so if I change the picture on Display 1 on my desktop system, it will automatically display on my laptops when I next use them. I could be wrong here too.

Both my laptops where updated to the Anniversary 1607 update but have not been updated or used since then. I don't know if this is starting to 'affect' my desktop.
